Drake Says He Wants To Play President Obama

DRAKE & OBAMA

Drake began his show-business career as an actor in Canada, and now that he's a star rapper he wants to return to acting by playing the American president.

"I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama's life soon because I could play him. That's the goal," the 25-year-old Grammy nominee recently told VH1 (via the NY Post). "I watch all the addresses. Any time I see him on TV, I don't change the channel. I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m pretty good at impressions." WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange to Play Himself on 'The Simpsons'

Julian Assange the Simpsons

WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange is turning yellow.

The activist/journalist -- lauded by some and reviled by others for his leaking of classified government information -- will make a cameo on the upcoming 500th episode of "The Simpsons."

During the episode -- which airs Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. and is titled "At Long Last Leave" -- Homer, Marge and their lemon-hued brood are run out of Springfield and join an off-the-grid community outside of town, where they find themselves as new neighbors to Assange.

'X Factor' shake-up: Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger out

Nicole Scherzinger

So is fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger.

And so is host Steve Jones.

Sources near the show confirm all three stars will not return for X Factor‘s second season next fall, though Fox has only officially acknowledged the departure of Jones and Scherzinger. The stunning X Factor exodus marks a dramatic day of network reality show bloodletting.

The events cap weeks of speculation about whether Scherzinger and Jones will continue on the show. Abdul’s future with the series has been speculated about too, but less so — especially given her longtime friendship and working history with Factor judge and executive producer Simon Cowell.

The departures will leave Cowell and record producer L.A. Reid, both judges on the show, as the only returning on-air talent.

SAG Awards 2012: 'Bridesmaids' Cast Presents Scorsese Drinking Game (VIDEO)

BRIDESMAIDS

They may not have taken home any SAG Awards, but the "Bridesmaids" cast brought the house down when they took the stage to present their film ... and a Martin Scorsese drinking game.

"You have to take a drink every time -- and I mean every time -- you hear the word Scorsese," Maya Rudolph instructed the audience. Even at awards shows featuring actors honoring actors, the Oscar-winning director's name sure seems to come up a lot. Read more

Cynthia Nixon Clarifies Previous Controversial Statement, Says "Bisexuality Is Not a Choice"

Cynthia Nixon

Cynthia Nixon is backtracking on her controversial "being gay is a choice" interview, which landed her in hot water with the gay community last week.

The Sex and the City alum issued a new statement to the Advocate today after recently telling the New York Times Magazine that, for her, homosexuality "is a choice."

"My recent comments in The New York Times were about me and my personal story of being gay," Nixon told the Advocate. "I believe we all have different ways we came to the gay community and we can't and shouldn't be pigeon-holed into one cultural narrative which can be uninclusive and disempowering. However, to the extent that anyone wishes to interpret my words in a strictly legal context I would like to clarify: Read more

Seal Talks Heidi Klum Separation: "We Were Shocked"

Seal

Well, that was like clockwork!

Right after Billboard exec Bill Werde told E! News that Seal's split from Heidi Klum might actually help the singer's career by drawing attention to more than just his new album, interviews between Seal and Ellen DeGeneres (airing Tuesday) and PBS' Tavis Smiley (airing Friday) hit the web.

And if you think the topic of his separation was off the table, think again.

In fact, it seems like Seal is more than willing to openly speak about what shocked us all. And apparently, them, too. Read more

Oscar Predictions Chart 2011/2012 UPDATED

oscar

"The Artist" is still running away with the Oscar ball. It has love from critics, landed PGA, SAG and DGA nominations, and won three Golden Globes. It is strong with actors and craftspeople alike. As a nostalgic love letter to the movies--and a comic/tragic/romance--it has everything a Academy member could love, and will grab more Oscar nominations than any other film.

What could beat it? Winning Best Picture is about getting the love from all sectors of the Academy, including the biggest branch, the actors. Clearly, Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" and Steven Spielberg's "War Horse" aren't winning over the actors. Neither is Terrence Malick's "The Tree of Life" (which also failed to land PGA, WGA or DGA nods).
